Competitors take part entirely at their own risk. It is compulsory for riding hats with chin straps/safetyharnesses to be worn at all times whilst mounted (only Hat No. EN1384 or PAS015 are accepted).Junior members must wear body protectors whilst jumping in any class or warm up area.

The judges decision is final. Objections must be made in writing to the chairman with a refundable depositof £5.00 should the objection be upheld.

All breaches of the rules, matters of discipline and objections will be referred to the Stewards Committee(President or Chairman plus 2 other committee members). Their decision is final and binding and willbe notified to the person(s) concerned.

Horses/ponies less than 4 years cannot be entered in ridden events. Any animal showing suspectedsigns of illness cannot be permitted on the show ground. Excessive use of the whip, cruelty, bad languageor any actions likely to adversely affect the safety or enjoyment of others will not be tolerated and mayresult in expulsion.

Cantering is not permitted except in show rings or warm up areas. Stewards will ask entrants contraveningthis rule to leave the field, forfeiting any fees.

'Novice' in jumping applies to horses/ponies not having won £25 on a BSJA registration card, as at 1stJan. It also precludes a rider and horse/pony combination that has won previous SRC championships

Once a pony has been entered into a horse class it cannot be re-entered into a pony class and viceversa.

Measurements may be taken at the judges discretion or any 4 committee members.

No horse/pony may be entered more than once for any class, although 1 rider may enter numeroushorses/ponies (except clear round).

Cumulative points towards the championships will be awarded to PAID UP SRC members (Rider andhorse/pony combinations). Changes to the name of horse/pony during the season should be notifiedat the time of entry otherwise cumulative points will not be awarded.Points awarded as follows: 1st=4 points; 2nd=3 points; 3rd=2 points; 4th=1 point. One point is awardedfor each class entered, providing the entrant does not withdraw.Minimum of 5 points required for championship place (rider and horse/pony combination.

All equitation classes to be ridden in a snaffle. No spurs permitted.

The person named on the entry sheet must take the horse/pony into the ring. The judge, Steward orSecretary must be advised of any amendments prior to entering the ring

Entrants remain in the same category throughout the season, even if their birthday falls between 2ndJan. and the last show. ALL AGES taken as on 1st Jan. Except Rule 18.

Riders are eligible to compete on horses, in show jumping classes, from the beginning of the calendaryear in which they reach 13.

Lead rein riders must be aged between 3 and 8 years only(can compete after attaining their 3rd birthday,during the showing season)

Same horse/pony which qualified for championship must be used in that championship.
