A little about the club

Silsden Riding Club and a small team of voluntary helpers have organised and run shows at various locations in the Aire valley for some 55 years. Recently the club has moved to a permanent show field at Swartha; located a short distance from Silsden.

The club’s voluntary committee and helpers have worked hard to make its annual shows and training sessions of value to all competitors what ever their age, experience or background. We also feel that there needs to be an element of enjoyment and fulfilment which is sometimes much more important than just winning.

The Show Schedule allows all abilities to have suitable classes to enter, from the very young novice or indeed older novice handler / rider combinations up to more experienced individuals and their trusty equines.

The club is currently in the process of purchasing the land at Swartha Lane, this will benefit everyone involved, as this asset should cement the long-term future and stability of a riding club in the Aire valley region.
